Cooling/Heating

• Hoyeon Residence Complex operates electric coolers and heaters to keep proper room temperature suggested by the Korea Energy Management Corporation as follows. Please refer to the guide and information about cooling and heating on the Homepage.

• A) Cooling : Middle of May to end of June, beginning of September to end of September
• B) Heating : Beginning of March to beginning of May, middle of October to end of December
• C) All residents should have appropriate clothing and bedding during the months when there is no cooling or heating.
• D) In the case of Veritas Dormitory, one cooler or heater can cover three rooms, so if the resident opens the door or window during the operation of cooler or heater,
• the other two rooms can be affected.
• ※ Midnight Electricity-heater-fan : The resident can control it because it is operated with electricity stored up at midnight.
• ※ GHP : Cooling and heating system using gas, no temperature control
• ※ EHP : Cooling and heating system using electricity, temperature control

Hot Water

• All residents can use hot water in all of the Halls of Hoyeon Residence Complex all day. Please conserve water.

Safety Services

• Minor or serious thefts or assaults happen in the dormitory every semester in spite of all faculty's conscious efforts to prevent them. Thus, Hoyeon Residence Complex has CCTV to prevent thefts or robbery and to manage all facilities without any infringement of the residents' human rights. While the CCTV is working, all residents need to take care of themselves and their valuables.

Fire Safety

• The use of electric and heating appliances such as electric or space heaters, cooking appliances-fuel or-butane gas, or candles which can cause potential fire hazards is prohibited. If all 2700 residents use their own electric appliances, a serious problem as fire can break out. All residents must take responsibility for all accidents caused by their carelessness. In case of fire, use the fire extinguisher in the hallway and inform the staff and security office immediately. Also, for your safety in case of fire, all residents should know and follow the emergency information and directions on each floor.

Emergency Incident Security

• In case of any emergency, contact the security office or the resident support staff during the day, and the Life Mentor on duty at night. Please check all information about emergency procedures and office hours and location of the Life Mentor to cope with emergency situations.
